POP Accounts
Overview
POP accounts allows the addition, editing or deletion of pop accounts for mail collection.
Options
Description
A friendly description for the account.
Account Name
The Account Name entered here is used in the Validation Requests messages and Delivery Receipts. It should directly reflect this particular account. If you need to break the Account Names on a per email bases use "Local Accounts".
Account Email
The Account Email entered here is used in the Validation Request message and Delivery Receipts. It should directly reflect this particular account. If you need to break the Account Email down on a per email bases use "Local Accounts".
Tip: Local Accounts allow you to break down globally collected emails from a POP server to individuals For example joe@myPlace.com, pete@myPlace.com, sarah@myPlace.com are all retrieved from a POP Server. With Local Accounts they can be automatically placed into individual mailbox's for these particular people to pick up using there email client.
Server
The main server name that this account should retrieve from. ie : mail.bigpond.com.
Port
The port of the mail server that this account should retrieve from. Typically this would be port 110.
Username
The username of the account.
Password
The password for the account.
Authentication Type
Authentication to use when checking for mail. Typically this is Plain (Normal).
Disable Account
When enabled emailAI Pro engine will not process this account automatically.
Use Advanced Delivery
When enabled emailAI Pro engine will deliver all emails received on this account by Advanced Delivery. By default emails received on accounts after validating are marked as Awaiting Pickup for POP collection.
Use Account Preview
When enabled emailAI Pro will use the Account Preview system when retrieving emails from this particular account.
Check Interval
How often the emailAI Pro engine will check for mail using this account.
Status
Shows information regarding how many emails have been received using this account and how many of those were determined to be spam.
