Outgoing Server
Overview
The outgoing queue is where all outbound emails are sent for delivery to an outgoing capable SMTP server. Typically the ISP of the connection that the emailAI Pro engine is using to access the Internet.
Note it is extremely important this is set up correctly for correct operation of emailAI Pro.
Options
Clear Successfully Sent Items After x Days
After items have been sent they are kept in the Queue up to the days specified here and then deleted.
Clear Failed Items After x Days
When the emailAI Pro engine tries to send an email it will first see if it needs to do a Connection Test, then it will attempt to send the email via the outgoing mail server. If the attempt was to send a validation request and it fails the email is set to failed status and the necessary actions taken. If the email fails to send but is a validated, forwarded or relayed email it will change it's status to retry and attempt to send again in 5 minutes up to 4 times. Failed emails will be cleared from the queue after the number of days specified in this option.
Maximum Simultaneous SMTP Connections
The emailAI Pro engine has the capability of sending multiple emails at a time which saves typical bottlenecks created by traditional send a single email at a time situation. Broadband users can set this higher, while modem users should keep this around 3.
