IP Blocking
Overview
IP Blocking allows the blocking of emails that originate from certain locations. IP Blocking works if you are receiving mail directly by the emailAI Pro SMTP Server or via POP Retrieval. When using POP retrieval IP Blocking will scan the email headers for the IP of the sending server. Note IP blocking by POP retreival is not as accurate as when using it with direct SMTP.
IP Blocking is a useful feature as many companies and organisation only deal with certain countries and would not get emails from certain parts of the world or countries where SPAM maybe a large source. The White List also over rides the IP Block so mail can still be received from certain people even from a blocked location.
