File Retrieval

Overview

File Retrieval allows emailAI Pro to send a file after receiving an email from anywhere in the world. emailAI Pro can retrieve multiple files at the same time. Basically when an email comes into emailAI Pro with the subject of #file <keyword> <password> the system will then respond back to the sender with the file or files requested that match that particular keyword. This is a great system to automatically allow customers to retrieve latest price lists, program updates or for technical staff to retrieve diagnostic programs while out on the road.

How To Use

Retrieving a file

Send an email to any email address that the emailAI Pro engine handles with the subject of

If Password protected

#file <fileKeyword> <filePassword>

eg:

#file myFile myPassword

If not Password protected

#file <fileKeyword>

eg :

#file myFile

Columns

Description

The description of the file

Filename

The full path and file name of the file

Keyword

The keyword that this file is retrieved by. If several files have the same keyword all of those files will be retrieved on request.

P - Password Protected

When enabled the file request must also contain a password for this file to be retrieved.

Retrieved

The administrators name that handles this list. Note: this is required when you allow self subscribing as it is used in emails to the subscriber.

Last Retreived

The date this file was last retrieved.

Tool Bar Options

 

Add File
Adds a file to the file retrieval list

 

Edit File
Edits the current entry that is selected

 

Delete
Deletes the selected file entry

 

Delete All
Deletes all file entries on the list

 

Refresh
Refresh's the file list.
