Email Tracking
Overview
email Tracking in emailAI Pro allows the tracking of when a person opens an email that has been sent by emailAI Pro with tracking. The tracking information contains where they opened it from and how many times they have opened it. It will also gives an indication if they have forwarded it on to someone else.
Some examples of what tracking can be used for are
- Security, making sure internal emails are not going outside of the audience you intended them for.
- IP Checking, sometimes it is useful to know someone's IP to help them with there computer for remote support or something similar.
- Read receipts. Knowing that an email that was sent was received by the recipient and actually read.
- Prying eyes. Checking that emails are not opened by anyone other than the intended recipient.
- Mailing List. Additional control for mailing lists to check that the recipients are receiving the mail outs.
- Tracking relies on proper configuration of the emailAI Pro Web Server.
Tracking relies on you sending your outbound email by the emailAI Pro SMTP Server.
How to track an email
Step 1 - Tracking an email
Add #track in front of the subject of an email.
eg:
Subject : #track This is a test
Optional - put in the email %track% to specify exactly where the tracking code will be placed in the email. By default it is placed at the end of the email.
Step 2 - Send the email
Send the email as normal. The status logs will record tracking information.
Step 3 - Wait for a response
When the email is viewed a notification will be sent from emailAI Pro by email. eg:

Step 4 - Reviewing the tracking information
emailAI Pro will keep a record of all tracked emails under the tracking section of the console.
Deletion of this information is up to the user, no automatic purging is done.
