Black List

Overview

The Black List contains email address entries that bocks emails from that particular sender and a number of other functions like statistics.

When using the SMTP Server for direct mail receiving via a MX record emailAI will block senders that are on the Black List before the email is started to be transmitted. It's the ultimate SPAM prevention.

When POP Delete on Black List is swtiched on the emailAI Pro engine will delete items directly on the POP server before downloading the email.

Black List entries are automatically generated when emailAI Pro determines that a sender is a spammer by the challenge / response and email address validation system.

Black List entries may contain wild cards to match against senders for blocking. For instance adding %spammers.com would automatically match to any sender with their email address that ends in spammers.com. Adding %spam% would blacklist any email address that had the word 'spam' in it.

A sender may match to more than a single entry, ie if spam@spammers.com and %spammers.com was on the Black List and emailAI Pro received an email from spam@spammers.com the entry would be matched and their individual statistics increased.

emailAI Pro will not automatically black list any email addresses that are in local accounts or match local domains. Black list entries can still be made manually through the console.
